Multi-sensory Services for Children

An immersive and memorable experience for all children

Our sensory classes are more than just storytelling—they are active, participatory adventures. Children are encouraged to interact with the story and each other through role-playing, musical engagement, craft activities, scents and tastes, loose parts and messy play and much more!

We offer a variety of services, including weekly toddler and preschool classes, birthday party sessions, and school or nursery visits. As well as promoting sensory development, each service nurtures children's creativity and imagination, and aids in strengthening their social, cognitive, language and communication skills.

Unique Multi-Sensory Experience

Unlike traditional storytelling or sensory classes, Sense-a-Story combines all five external senses: sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste to create a truly immersive experience. This approach helps children engage deeply with the stories and enhances their overall sensory development.

Comprehensive Developmental Benefits

Our storytelling sessions build on children's listening and communication skills. The multi-sensory approach promotes children's curiosity and exploration which strengthens critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making abilities. Sensory play can help children to manage and express their emotions and aids the development of fine and gross motor skills.

Diverse and Dynamic Sessions

Each week features a new story and set of activities, keeping sessions fresh and exciting. From sound effects to messy play to scents and tastes, the variety of sensory stimuli ensures that every session is different and engaging.

Inclusive and Welcoming Environment

Sense-a-Story is inclusive of all children. The sessions can be tailored to provide additional support where required. The welcoming and relaxed setting ensures that all children feel comfortable and are encouraged to participate at their own pace.

Please note: We don't teach sign.
Signing is used in an effort to be more accessible to more children, and to add an extra visual element to the story.
